IS KIDS’ ART ACADEMY RIGHT FOR MY FAMILY? 

The short answer? If you’re trying to help your child or family learn how to draw and make art, then YES. The longer answer is this: Kids’ Art Academy is for anyone who is looking for an affordable,beginner level, engaging option for art lessons for their child or family (you can use this course with your entire household!) to learn drawing essentials and how to create art that they’re actually interested in making using a range of art mediums. 

It’s for anyone who has been struggling to get their kids to want to draw or create with an art program, struggling with finding time to take kids to ANOTHER afterschool program, getting them past the blank paper phase, or “I don’t know what to draw” phase. 

The good news is that you won’t have to do any of the teaching yourself because I will be teaching all the drawing and art lessons myself in the videos! Just follow along with each lesson and watch your child’s drawing skills evolve from stick people to complex compositions.

ARE THERE ANY PREREQUISITES FOR THE MEMBERSHIP? 

This is my beginning level course so no prerequisites or experience is necessary. A minimum age for a child should be 7 or at an ability that they’re looking to draw and make art. Before enrolling in Kids’ Art Academy, you should be open-minded to making and creating yourself. Everyone is an artist, we all just have different levels of practice! I am a firm believer that creating art together as a family so I encourage you to join your child or children sometimes and make art too! I think it is encouraging for kids to see their parents, guardians, or grandparents make art too. I also think it is a great way to ensure the curriculum is followed and that this program will be used in your household. As well, it means you can support your child through their journey of learning how to draw and make art.

And if you don’t have any art skills yourself? Or your child? No worries. That is what this program is all about! As an educator and professional artist, I know that if your child (and even you!) follows my program, they will learn essential drawing and art making skills. You can safely know that you don’t have to have any art making skills- I will do all the teaching in my video. I am a firm believer that we are ALL artists, not only your child but you too! We all just have different levels of practice. We can all learn to do anything we want to, no matter our age.)

As well, you’ll need a space to make art, whether it is the kitchen table, a counter, or even the floor (don’t worry, I’ll talk about this in the program). As well, you will need to purchase the art mediums. I will cover this and what to get inside the program, but know that you will need to get some inexpensive art making mediums (but don’t worry- the ones we will use in this program can be found at any big box or craft store which is why this program is so great, everything is accessible!)

WHAT IS THE INVESTMENT? IS THERE A PAYMENT PLAN?

I’M ALREADY SO BUSY. HOW MUCH TIME WILL THIS TAKE? 

This program is designed to let your child and family work at your own pace. You are in full control of when you want to work through this beginner level course and get set-up and started with your family or classroom, and you can pick when and what time you will make art. I think, with any set-up or clean-up, an hour art making session, 1 to 2 times a week feels like a great time for art making. But that is just a suggestion! You have unlimited access to this course once you enroll and can choose to log in and create as much or as little as you like. 

All lessons are pre-recorded and can be watched by hitting the play button (or pause me/rewind) which means you can complete the art lessons when your child or family wants to make and then let them create! And you can watch them at any time, any day, anywhere. This makes it a flexible art class for your family’s needs. Keep in mind you will need to plan to hit pause or rewind on the art lessons to allow your child or family to work at pace that feels comfortable (or break up an artwork over a couple days if you would like!)

HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY MATERIALS? 

All videos and materials are digital and will be hosted on the my Artastic Kids platform at www.artastickids.com. After you enroll, you can LOG IN then select “My Library”. WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY? 

There are no refunds because it is an online course and everything is available from the moment you join. You will have full access to everything for a lifetime and you can re-watch the lessons as much as you would like.
